The Delaware Law Enforcement Memorial was dedicated on May 3, 2010. The Memorial pays tribute to all police officers in the state of Delaware who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their fellow citizens.

The keynote speaker at the dedication was the Vice President of the United States, Joseph R. Biden, Jr..  As did other speakers, the Vice President spoke eloquently of the service and sacrifice of our fallen heroes.  Words will fade with time but the Memorial will keep alive the names and service of those who have given all.  As President Abraham Lincoln noted in his Gettysburg Address, “The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here.”  We will never forget our honored dead.
